Research Assistantship Experiential Learning Opportunity

Project: updating research on three Old English epics: Judith, Elene, and Juliana.

RA task: compiling an annotated bibliography of all scholarly work that has been published in the past five years or so on these texts. There is room for flexibility of scope to fit the 40-hour mark. RA does not need to be familiar with these works or the Old English language to successfully complete this task, though some familiarity could be useful.

Who: English/Linguistics Majors – standing junior and seniors

Wage: $18.29 per hour Duration: 10 weeks

When: Starting week four of Spring 2024 Semester. 4 hours/half a day per week.

Where: Work does not require any in-person contact. RA would be employing Auraria Library resources to complete the work.

Research Assistantship Experiential Learning Opportunity

Project: Revising textbook for 2025 second edition of Global Medieval Contexts 1500 – 1500: Connections and Comparisons.  

RA tasks include: 1) Literature reviews to incorporate scholarship since the first publication in 2021. 2) Adapting in-class lessons to website platform. 3) Organizing images and information from museum collections. 4) Reviewing maps as published.

Who: English/Linguistics majors – standing juniors and seniors

Wage: $18.29/hour

Duration: 10 weeks

When: Starting week four of Spring 2024 Semester (4 hours/half a day per week)

Where: Independent work along with in-person meetings with faculty
